Why should you enter The Pitch?

The Pitch 2024 startup competition is designed to help founders raise seed investment:

  • Coaching on improving your pitch and investment deck
  • The opportunity to pitch to investors at regional and national demo days
  • Direct introductions to angel investors and VCs
  • Mentoring opportunities with the founders of businesses like Starling Bank and Jimmy’s Iced Coffee
  • Connections with other seed-stage founders that are on the same journey as you

We also create a platform for you to promote your startup, with over 35,000 people watching The Pitch 2023 events.

How does the competition work?

The top ten applicants from each region are selected to pitch to investors at our semi-finals. All finalists are given the opportunity to work with a pitching coach to prepare, so you’ll have an opportunity to develop your pitch and practise the Q&A.

We’re planning events in London, Manchester, Bristol, Birmingham, Brighton and Edinburgh this year. All the semi-finalists will be given support with promotion and PR, so you can shout about your journey with The Pitch and why you deserve to win.

Our panel of judges choose a winner from each event. Plus there’s a People’s Choice vote so fans can get involved too!

After each regional, we share the judges’ feedback with detailed scoring to help startups improve their pitch. Scores will be added to our leaderboard, which will be seen by thousands of people, including investors, journalists and potential customers.

The top startups from the regional finals go on to compete in The Pitch Final.

“Being part of The Pitch was more than just a challenge, it allowed us to get clearer on our proposition to investors - 90 seconds isn't very long after all - and gave us a huge amount of confidence about our business. We're so grateful for the experience and the mentoring we've had since the event has been invaluable!”

"Being part of The Pitch 2022 was a valuable experience for both the business and me, personally. Although we made the final, I actually froze in the semifinal and forgot everything. I probably wouldn’t have been able to tell you the name of my business! The Pitch team and judges were supportive and, luckily, they asked good questions so I could get my business across."
